세운상가군에서 활동하는 문화예술창작자 ‘스페이스바’가 <다시, 세운: 세운(시) 여러분(계)>한글 시계 설치식을 12월 16일(금) 3시 개최한다. 11월 18일에서 12월 4일까지 열었던 국제 교류전을 함께 16일 당일 스페이스바와 바로옆 ㅋㅋㄹㅋㄷㅋ특004에서 관람할 수 있다.
<2016 다시 세운-세운(시) 여러분(계)>은 세운상가에서201년 터를 잡은 창작가들과 예술기획자들이 직접 기획한 공공미술 및 국제교류 프로젝트로 전시와 공공설치물 <한글시계-세운(시) 여러분(계)>로 구성된다.

베를린이 되다

2009년 부터 에바 키츠만과 페트라 쿠베르트는 공공 공간과 도시의 이미지 제작을 위한 공동 프로젝트를 진행중이다. 현재의 신자유주의 하의 도시개발에 대한 담론은 이 그룹의 이론적인 배경이 된다. 사전 리서치를 통하여 도시의 빈 공간에 대한 자료를 조사한 후에 퍼포먼스, 영상, 사진, 오브제, 텍스트, 오디오 플레이, 출판등을 이용하여 다양한 방식으로 제시한다

Being Berlin

Eva Keitzman and Petra Kübert have worked on the staging of public spaces and the image production of cities since 2009.The current discourse about urban development in neoliberalism is our theoretical background. With the method of artistic research, they approach a place of the course of a longer time period and analyze it and its structures. In the end, they produce contextual installations (films, photos, objects, texts, radio plays, publications), that seek to continue the discussion in other locations, like exhibitions and presentations.

다양성

막스 노이퍼트는 이번 세운상가에 새로운 비디오 영상을 제작하여 상영하였다. 이는 3년간 작가가 한국에 머무는 동안 느끼고 관찰한 한국도시계발에 대하여 기록하고 관창한 것을 토대로 한 것이다. 대구 공항근처의 민간, 군용 비행기가 자주 날아 가는 모습을 보면서 하늘에 새보다 비행기가 많았다는 것에 착안한 것이다. 세운상가 근처의 청계천 또한 자연적인 것이 아닌 인위적으로 계발을 통해 다시 재건 되면서 많은 환경문제에 직면했다는 리서치를 했다고 하며 도시 재생 방법에 친환경적인 요소를 함꼐 염두하고 진행되었으면 하는 바램이 반영된 작품이다.

Diversity

Neupert created a new art video for this show. He lived for 3 years and it is based on the research and experiences about Korean city development. Living near Daegu airport it was hard to ignore the many civilian and military airplanes overhead. It left me wondering if there are more planes than birds in the skies above. He researched about Sewoon Sangga area and found the Cheonggye cheon reconstruction story. It reminds him the Four-Main-Rivers Restauration. He suggests that we should find the Eco friendly way regeneration in the Sewoon Sangga;s future through his artwork.

한글 시계 ‘세운(시) 여러분(계)’

세운상가의 주민들을 위한 공공 미술 프로젝트에 관심을 가지고 접근한 작품이다. 작가는 작품을 진행하면서 ‘사람’에 주목하고 있는데 이번에는 세운상가의 외부에서 보았을 때 어두운 저녁에도 활발하게 움직이는 세운전자상가의 모습을 상징적으로 드러낼 수 있는 외부 설치 작품이자 실제로도 사용가능한 시계를 세운상가 주민과 공유하고자 다양한 설계 자문을 받고 2mx2m사이즈의 대형 한글 시계를 종로3가쪽에 설치하여 저녁의 세운상가를 외부에 알리는 설치 프로젝트를 진행하였다. 본 작품은 모두 을지로 예술공간 R3028에 작업 Lab을 설치하고 제작하였다.

This art public installation is aim to approach to create artwork for the Sewoon People who lives and work in the building. Artist Im is always interested in ‘person’ through his artwork. In this project, he has a plan to make a symbolic object as well as public art to show the Sewoon electronic sangga’s lively life will be installed in front of the building wall. The size (2mx2m) is will be big enough to see the light and text from the Jongro3Ga high street to recognize the Sewoon Sangga in the evening time. He organized the most process at art space R3028 (temporary Lab) in Euljiro near Sewoon Gangga area.

열결 (Heat connection), 세운상가사진 - 전자상가 사물편

열결은 '온기로 맺어진다'는 뜻으로, 세운상가 주변 조명가게의 전구 필라멘트를 촬영 후 세운건물 입구쪽 계단에 설치한 작업이다. 이와 더불어, 작가는 세운전자상가에서 취급하는 반도체, 케이블, 3D 프린터, 기계 부품을 기록한 사진을 모아 "세운상가사진 - 전자상가 사물편" 을 출간하였다. 상점과 함께 몇십년을 보낸 물건부터 현재 활발히 사용하는 제품, 그리고 새롭게 만들어지고 있는 기계들을 통해 상가의 예전, 오늘, 그리고 내일을 엿볼 수 있다.

Heat connection, Sewoon Sangga Photos - The objects of electronic store edition_Reu JY

Artist Reu(b.1991) took a photo the object of Sewoon Sangga. She selected one of them to install for a public art project on the stairs. Addmore, she published the photograph catalogue titled, Sewoon Sangga Photos-the objects of electronic store edition. In the catalogue, she took a photo of bulb’s filament, semiconductor, and speaker and so on. We can read Sewoon Sangga’s present and past through these photos.

에바 키츠만 Eva kietzmann

에바 키츠만(1977년생, 독일)은 독일 오펜바흐 조형대학에서 필름, 비디오, 공연을 공부했고, 베를린 예술대학교에서 공공장소의 예술 및 학문적 이미지 생산과 관련한 예술 작업을 주제로 석사과정을 마쳤다. 2009년부터는 Petra Kübert와 함께 협동 작가로 활동하고 있으며, 그들은 도심의 이미지 생산과 공공장소의 연출에 대해 주로 다룬다. . http://www.evakietzmann.net/

Eva Kietzmann (b.1977, Germany) studied film, video and performance at Hochschule für Gestaltung, Offenbach and finished her Master’s degree in art in public space and artistic works in the context of academic image production at Universität der Künste, Berlin. Since 2009, she has been working with Petra Kübert as an artist duo. They focus on the image production of cities and the staging of public space. By researching and collecting found footages.

Petra Kübert (b.1975) Lives and works in Berlin. He had several international exhibition including Open Studio at Tokyo Wonder Site in 2014, and Living Resorts, uqbar, Berlin(Solo)in 2014.

페트라 쿠베르트(b.1975) 베를린에서 거주하며 작업활동을 한다. 쿠베르트는 2014년 도쿄 원더 사이트의 ‘오픈 스튜디오’ 와 2014년 베를린에서의 ‘Living Resorts’개인전 등 다수의 국내외 전시에 참여 하였다.

이번 출품작은 페트라 쿠베르트Petra Kübert와의 협동 작품입니다.

임도원 작가는 서울대학교 미술대학 조소과 및 동대학원을 졸업하고 최근 베이징에 위치한 Can Foundation 레지던시에 선정되어 참여 한바 있으며. 2012년에는 서울국제 뉴 미디어 페스티벌 NEMAF “뉴미디어 아트상” 수싱하기도 했다. 저서로는 2014 ‘라이노 예제로 배우는 크 리에이티브 3D 프린팅&모델링’ (도서출판 미진사). 최근 오픈한 2014 <서울 지하철 9호선 봉은사역 “인in 人”>공공미술 프로젝트와 공감 기획의 DMZ 전시 2015년 “통일 그 앞에서다” 파주 에코뮤지엄길에도 참 여 하였다. 2014년 부터 세운상가의 ‘스페이스_바421’의 운영작가로 도시재생 프로젝트로 공공미술 설치 작업 <세운(시) 여러분(계)>를 진행하였다. www.imdoone.org

IM Do One(b.1979) completed BFA and MFA sculpture in Seoul National University. He was selected artist at CAN Foundation Beijing Residency in 2014. He awarded <New Media art prize> at Seoul international new media festival in 2012. IM wrote <the Creative 3D printing & Modeling through the examples of Rhiino>(Mijin, 2014). His 3D printing art works were introduced at <The Line-Stand in front of Unification>, curated by Art Company Gong Gam, ECO Museum in Paju. In recent, he had a solo show titled, <Botist Service Center, think of the 3D printing workshop for 2years, at Space_ba421 in Seoul. He is one of director of non-profit art organization ‘Space_ba421’ in Sewoun Sangga since 2014.

막스 노이퍼트(Max Neupert)는 한국에서 활동중인 독일 태생의 미디어 작가이다. 독일 부르그기비헨스타인 미술디자인대학에서 미디어아트로 마스터 학위를 받았고 바이마르의 바우하우스 대학에서 미디어 아트 전공 조교수를 지냈으며 바우하우스 대학의 박사논문을 마무리하고 있다. 영남대학교 트랜스 아트 전공의 초빙교수로 재직하였었다. 2011년 호주 시드니에서의 ‘Satellite Zodiac, General Store Contemporary’, 2010년 독일 바이바르에서의 ‘오디오 비디오 퍼포먼스-a/v performance’와 등 다양한 전시에 참여 한바 있습니다. 한국에서는 광복 70주년 기념으로 대구문화예술회관 미술관에서 2015년 미디어 파사드 전시에 참여 하기도 하였다. http://www.maxneupert.de/

Max Neupert is a visual artist, working at the intersections of auditive and visual media, perspective and view, mapping and censorship. His works have been acquired by the collections of the German Ministry for Envi- ronment, the International Airport Montreal and the Museum of Civilisation Quebec. He was teaching at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. His investigation in “Satellite Astrology” has been presented at the ISEA 2010 and was exhibited in Sydney and Madrid. He designed the Interactive Performance Plat- form in the Digital Bauhaus Lab and taught a telematic class between Bauhaus-Universität and UCSD. Max currently is a PhD candidate at the Bauhaus-Universität and researches on video imagery as sampling materi- al in a musical context. Reu JY finished BA in Fine Art at Ecole supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Nimes and graduated MFA in Photography at Ecole supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Nimes. After coming back to Korea in 2016, she has several design project with her photo art works like as cover design for the book "The leadership stories with Democracy" at Institute of Politic Education, Art directing and photo project for Art catalogue of France Lexon design 25th (silver) jubilee limited edition, and Art directing for Cosmetic company named J.SPELL Beauty. She works diverse realm of photography project. She had solo show at Space_BA421 in summer and joined regeneration art project such as <Sewoon again>.
